Furniture

Like a houseful of independent sculptures, our furniture says a lot about our personal nature and our lives. Whether we are moved by sinuous contours or rigid angles, ornament or restraint, the things we surround ourselves with must on some level be a mirror of ourselves. I took up furniture making soon after leaving the Maine coast and settling for a time in the Blue Ridge. I didn’t miss the cold, but I did miss the careful joinery of boats. So I turned my hands to a more stationary woodwork, and since then have produced pieces on commission for homes throughout the US. What can I build for you?
